Having sold out last year's inaugural festival in a matter of weeks, Love Saves The Day returns to Bristol for a day of musical anarchy, immersing Castle Park in the very best in dance music.

Conceived by the brains behind Glastonbury's WOW stage, See No Evil and one half of the team behind the much lauded In:Motion series, Love Saves The Day celebrates musical pioneers and innovators bringing together some of the top acts of our generation.

Visitors can expect to see big-named DJs as well as talented new artists before they blow up into the mainstream.

This year, there will be a live performance from eclectic multi-instrumentalist Bonobo, pictured top, a revered name on the worldwide dance music circuit, as well as house and techno DJ Seth Troxler, whose beautifully unpredictable approach to his sets makes him a must-see.

Rudimental, who took the nation by storm with their number one single Feel The Love in 2012, will be performing live, as will London based duo, AlunaGeorge.

Nominated for both the BBC Sounds of 2013 and the Brits Critics Choice award, their much-anticipated live performance at Love Saves The Day will be unmissable, as will technicolor collective Crazy P who have been leaving their mark on the landscape of British dance music for 15 years.

Bristol resident Eats Everything adds his signature brand of bass-heavy house and soulful harmonies to the pot, and Joy Orbison, who has been a key figure on the circuit since his seminal track Hyph Mngo blew up in 2009, is on the bill.

Jackmaster and Monki, two of Radio One's "In New DJs We Trust" DJs promise sharp track sets featuring everything from Detroit house and Nineties dance classics to disco anthems and garage.

Legendary DJ, cartoonist, producer and tea drinker Mr Scruff, pictured below, will also be entertaining the crowds with his revered DJ set taking in soul, funk, hip-hop, jazz, reggae, dubstep, ska and lots more. His appearance will be an undoubted festival high.

With these and many more names on the bill, Love Saves the Day offers music lovers the very best sounds the globe has to offer.

After the thrills and spills of Saturday's Love Save The Day, Sunday's sister show Loves Saves Sunday gives you the opportunity to carry on, chill with friends, or bring the family along to a cracking day out in Castle Park.

Headlining on Sunday is American disco and R&B band Chic. The legendary group, which is fronted by the iconic bassist and producer Nile Rodgers, made the disco scene their own in the late Seventies with classic tracks like Le Freak, Good Times and Everybody Dance. Earlier this year Rodgers teamed up with French electro giants Daft Punk and hit the number one slot with Get Lucky.

Native Bristolian Julio Bashmore will be DJing on the main stage of his hometown, while Soul II Soul, Ms Dynamite, Ghostpoet and Babyhead are among the other acts confirmed.

There's also plenty of fun and games across the site for kids and the young at heart.

With so much going on, you're sure to work up a hunger and a thirst and there are plenty of reasonably priced bars and traders on-site providing a mouth-watering variety of refreshments all day long.

One of the best things about Love Saves The Day is its location in Castle Park, a fantastic green and public space set in the very heart of Bristol.

To help maintain the popular site, Love Saves The Day organisers are giving a donation to Friends of Castle Park. There will also be a donation to Cancer Research UK. Reported by This is 31 minutes ago.
