The pictures are for sale, although the main motive for exhibiting is the desire to share the pleasure of painting. *2) Music gig charity night...* The Quicksilver Mail in Yeovil hosts a night of music, a bar, a raffle and a charity auction on Friday, May 10. Limited number of on the door. *3) Sing Gilbert and Sullivan...* The Friends of St Bartholomew's Church in Crewkerne are organising a day of rehearsing popular Gilbert and Sullivan choruses, followed by a concert in the evening.Suitable both for experienced singers and newcomers. Takes place on Saturday, May 11. The two rehearsal sessions run from 10am until 12.30pm and from 2pm until 4pm. The concert is open for all and starts at 7.30pm and is expected to finish by 9.30pm. As part of their nationwide tour 'ahab' are performing tracks from their new CD Wits End. *5)The St Margaret's Great Somerset Walk...* This event organised by St Margaret's Hospice is a lovely walk through some of Somerset's natural beauty, offering the chance to see your local area from a different angle. Choose from 9 different starting points beginning in Taunton. *6) Craft sale...* Sale of local crafts in the Taunton Library in the Tourist Information Centre on Paul Street. Jewellery available by Beads by Design, Janice Day, Julie Griffiths and Millibeads runs until the end of the month from 9.30am until 4.30pm. *7) Holyest Erth Exhibition...* Last chance to view this exhbition at Glastonbury Abbey before it closes on Sunday, May 12. The vibrant colours of Glastonbury Abbey have inspired this exhibition staged by Somerset artist and printmaker, Bronwen Bradshaw. *8) John Leach Gallery - Spring Show...* A mixed exhibition featuring paintings by three Somerset artists - Vera Sheaf, Angie Rooke and Nick Gerolemou. Runs until the middle of June at the John Leach Gallery at Muchelney Pottery in Muchelney, near Langport.
