![Leicestershire Christmas gift guide: A ho-ho-hodgepodge]()
This is Leicestershire -- Anyone who's anyone will be aware of fabulous Leicester satchel firm *Zatchels*. You'll find them slung over the shoulders of all the cool kids in town, you know. But, what you might not know is that, as well as satchels, they also make a few other accessories – including this zesty orange iPad cover (£45). The most colourful way to keep your tablet scratch-free this Christmas. The name on everybody's lips is gonna be... yours, if you do your homework and pick up some decent gifts this Christmas. Show tickets are always a nice touch, and you also get to reap the rewards, should you so wish. For seduction, scandal, showbiz and all that jazz, *Chicago* is on at Curve, Leicester, until January 18. Standard tickets start at £21.50. If you're Christmas shopping for a *Tigers* fan then we're guessing they're already going to have the latest shirt and maybe a signed photo or two. But what they probably won't already have is one of these brilliant limited edition prints by Leicestershire illustrator and staunch Tigers supporter Paul Hainsworth. They're available from the lovely Wistow Gallery (which is jam-packed with loads of gorgeous art and crafty gifts, FYI, not just Tigers stuff) and prices start at a very reasonable £25. Pop into the shop at the Wistow Rural Centre, in Kibworth Road, Wistow, call 0116 259 2400, or visit: Don't forget your pets at Christmas because they love getting gifts, too. The *Little Barker Bakery*, Clarendon Park, offers a range of natural treats and gifts for VIPs (Very Important Paws), with biscuits that are handmade and freshly home-baked with the finest ingredients. Prices start at £2.50. Woof. It's been quite a year for Leicester likely lads, *By The Rivers*. Gigs galore, including two triumphant shows at the 02 and a storming set at Glastonbury which earned the skanking six-piece a namecheck as one of the festival's top five Future Pyramid Stars – alongside Foals, Bastille, The Strypes and Jessie Ware. Ooh-yor! And there was an eponymous debut album too. By The Rivers is released by Kompyla Records. Can you feel it coming? Well you blummin' should be able to, as *Kasabian* are preparing to put on one hell of a party here in their home town in the summer. After years of trying to get it sorted, the Leicester boys have finally got the go-ahead to put on a big outdoor gig here at Vicky Park.
