The 73-year-old Glastonbury festival organiser has nude portrait taken in the Stone Circle in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support
In a week that was dominated by Lily Allen's satirical take on female objectification and the ritual celebration of women with glossy hair and shiny legs at the annual Victoria's Secret Show, the 73-year-old Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has shimmied in to represent the male form, posing naked for a charity calendar.
Standing jovially in the Stone Circle on the Glastonbury festival site, Eavis, aka Mr June, is shot in the nude with the exception of a pair of skimpy denim shorts, held to cover his modesty.
The farmer will appear among 12 local businessmen and celebrities baring all for the Legends of Somerset 2014 calendar, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Mick Jagger's brother, Chris Jagger, and the Wells town crier, Len Sweales, are also appearing.
Photographer Jason Bryant, who organised the calendar, told Western Morning News that Mr Eavis was a keen participant: "He was a great model, and didn't hesitate in getting his kit off. But then he has got a great set of legs for a man of his age."
Plans for next year's Glastonbury festival are taking shape, with Eavis revealing that 2014's headliners will be three bands who have never played at Worthy Farm before. Reported by guardian.co.uk 2 days ago.
