This is Nottingham -- AFTER their debut album, If You Wait, landed at No. 2 in the chart this week, London Grammar have announced details of their first major headline tour of the UK. It includes Rock City on January 31. The trio, who met at the University of Nottingham, have already sold out their show at the Rescue Rooms on October 22. They introduced themselves and their ambient music via two almost anonymous tracks posted online late last year. Their first proper release, an EP called Metal & Dust, appeared in February, not long after they'd played their first gig. Over the summer they guested on Disclosure's No. 1 album, Settle, and played Glastonbury, Secret Garden, Wilderness, Ibiza Rocks and Bestival. They are poised to hit the US for a stretch of headline dates across the East and West coasts before returning to the UK to play their own sold out tour in October. The trio feature on the next Disclosure single, Help Me Lose My Mind set for release on October 28. If You Wait is set to be one of the biggest breakthrough releases of the year.
