Extra tickets released and support announced for Jake Bugg show This is Somerset --

Fans who didn't manage to snap up tickets to witness teenage troubadour Jake Bugg play a headline gig at Plymouth Pavilions this autumn when they sold out in record time earlier this year, can now have a second bite of the cherry.

A limited number of extra tickets are being released at 9am on Friday for Jake's show at the city centre venue on Sunday, October 20, which is part of his headline nationwide tour.

Earlier this summer he not only supported the Rolling Stones in Hyde Park, he also performed an afternoon set on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in front of thousands of fans – the first artist to move from the BBC Introducing Stage to the Main Pyramid stage in successive years.

Still only 19, Jake has already scored a number one with his platinum-selling, eponymous debut album; he was nominated in the British Breakthrough Artist category at this week's Brit Awards, and he was acknowledged at the NME Awards for Best Solo Act and the prestigious Best Album. A regular on Radio 1 and 6Music, Jake has also made appearances on Radio 2 and on Radio 4's flagship culture show Front Row.

Sharp, observant and honest, his songs inhabit a unique world showcased by the scorching bluesy guitar-led first single Lightning Bolt, and the six that have followed.

Cornwall-based promoters SW1 Productions have also announced that Los Angeles alt country pop rock duo Honeyhoney will be the main support for Jake's Plymouth show. Reported by This is 3 days ago.
