BRUTON-based band The Johnsons are to perform a free warm-up gig at the Alhampton Inn tomorrow evening ahead of their triple appearance at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
The band play versions of songs by everyone from Hank Williams to Merle Haggard to Elvis and claim to be the perfect band to drink cider and dance to on a summer's evening.
Lead singer Mohammed Zachary Ulysses Johnson said: "We love playing the Alhampton Inn, it's the opposite of Glastonbury as we are playing in their front parlour.
"The last time we played there was one of our most enjoyable gigs."
