Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis celebrates award success at the... GLASTONBURY founder Michael Eavis kicked off his wellies to pay the BRIT School in Selhurst a visit last Thursday (September 26). Mr Eavis, 78, who started the world-famous festival in 1970, was in town to celebrate receiving the 2014 Music Industry Trusts Award (MITS). The BRIT School, in The Crescent, is one of two charities, alongside music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, which benefits from the MITS fundraising event. The farmer was given a tour of the shcool by principal Stuart Worden... Reported by Croydon Advertiser 17 hours ago.
