THE problem with Wells High Street is that drivers won't accept that it's a 20mph zone all the way from the top of Sadler Street to Priory Road at the Kudos club. Here at Earthcraft in Priory Road, we are frequently aware of cars roaring past at speeds of well over 30mph, way in excess of the designated 20mph. Lazy drivers use the High Street as a shortcut from Bath Road to Glastonbury Road. If drivers would stick to the speed limit the call for pedestrianisation would fade. We've had this...
